CLV Skip Hire Terms and Conditions



The hirer agrees that any site or approach to site shall be adequately maintained to enable delivery. The hirer agrees that their own judgement shall be appropriate to the suitability of the approach roads, tracks, and ground for the delivery, siting and collection of any skip. The hirer must tell the provider at point of ordering of any special requirements for delivery. The hirer will ensue that at delivery /collection/ exchange their will be adequate access and clear space of 25 feet at the hook end of the skip to enable removal. The hirer must promptly accept delivery on the skip upon arrival and advise on placement. The hirer must ensure they are there to accept delivery or removal and sign and acknowledge the delivery or removal.

15 minute is allowed for the delivery /removal / exchange of any skip, if the lorry is kept waiting longer than this time period, the hirer will be liable for standing time costs.

Wait and load service is limited to 40 minutes, of the lorry is kept waiting longer than this time period, the hirer will be liable for an additional waiting charge.

The hirer must not move the skip from the delivered position, nor must they remove it from the delivery address or allow unauthorised removal of the skip, any loss or theft will be reimbursed in full by the hirer.

No fires or burning of rubbish are allowed nor corrosive substances, liquid cement or liquid concrete, or hot embers/ash in the skip. Any damage caused by fire, vandalism or other means the hirer will reimburse the provider from replacement or repair.

Cancelations within 24hours of delivery will incur a 20% of the value of skip charge. Any cancellations must be made by emailing the office – contact@clv-skiphire.co.uk as well as calling the office 01727 261008.

The Skip must not be filled higher than the sides and must be level loaded, to prevent any loss of material from the skip whilst stationary or in transit.

No hardcore or soil in skips over 8Yards unless prior agreement has been made.

Unless prior agreement in writing the hirer shall fill the skip within the hire period 7 days. If the hire period exceeds this the hirer will be charged a daily surcharge. The hirer must inform the provider in good time to advise on exchange or collections. Hirer are advised to lay protective covering where the skip is to be sited, the provider does not accept any liability for damages which may occur to surfaces.

During the hire period, the hirer shall fully and totally indemnify the provider in respect of all claims by any person, for injury or damage to property, caused by or in connection or arising from the use of the skip, in respect to all costs and charges.

All pricing for skips is quoted for non-hazardous waste, hazardous waste will incur a surcharge. Any prohibited items will incur a surcharge. An excess weight surcharge will also be charged for overweight skips.

Asbestos must not be placed in skips.

All plasterboard / gypsum must be disposed of separately. Plasterboard contamination will incur a surcharge.
